DIRECT CURRENT DRIVE GENERATOR GP25

PURPOSE

GP25 is designed to supply an aircraft electrical system with AC electrical power with stable frequency.

SRUCTURE CHARACTERISTICS

Drive generator is composed of a hydro-mechanical drive and AC generator united in the same field ring assembly. Drive consists of a mechanical differential control unit, two sets of  the expansion type hydro-machines operating in parallel, regulating system,  boost and return pumps, minimal pressure switch, maximum operating temperature switch, and easy removed filter. Each hydro-machine set consists of an adjusting and unadjusting hydro-machines. Minimal pressure switch is used to close the contacts in case when the pressure level in drive generator falls below safety one. Easy removable filter is provided by the magnet filter clogging detector and the cutoff  valve which adjusts oil loss to a minimal value.

APPLICATION AREA

Drive generator is used at Il-96-300 and other up-to-date Russian airplanes.
