Aircrafts equipped with units produced by AC "Rubin"

 

1992-2006

There were a hard times for the aircraft industry. Under the pretence that domestic airplanes are not competitive with foreign ones, company "Aeroflot – International Airlines" refused from buying airplanes Il-86, Il-96-300, Tu-154M and some other. Newly established small airlines had not enough money to purchase new airplanes as Tu-204 or Il-114. Aircraft production of Il-86 and Il-96-300 in Voronezh, aircrafts Tu-154M and Yak-42 in Samara and aircrafts An-124 in Ul’yanovsk was  practically cancelled. With great difficulties was launch in batch production Tu-204. The development of Tu-124 in Tupolev ANTK was delayed.

Never the less "Rubin" continued its work. The production was not cancelled at all. According to his earlier contracts he supplied the consumers (aircraft construction plants) with the necessary products: hydraulic drives GP22, wheels with brakes KT191, servo RM9T; wheels with brakes KT196 and hydraulic drives GP26; wheels with brakes KT204 and KT205, hydraulic drive GP25, hydraulic pump NP123 and some other.

29.12.1992 Accessories plant "Rubin" was reorganized to an Open Joint-Stock Company – Aircraft Corporation "Rubin".

At that time our authorities encouraged the development of international economic relations. So our Corporation began the negotiations with the South Korea company "Daewoo", American Corporation AlliedSignal Inc. (ALS division), French Company SER and a number of Chinese companies.

At present "Rubin" posses the unique test facilities for adjustment aircraft wheels, brakes, hydraulic drives, pumps, all types of  hydraulic units for hydraulic and brake systems. In 1994 our landing gear (wheels, brakes and brake systems) testing laboratory and hydraulics and hydraulic systems testing laboratory were accredited by Gosstandart of RF as the International Testing Center for Aerospace Hydraulic and Landing Equipment.

Aircraft Corporation "Rubin" celebrates its sixtieth anniversary in complicated financial and economic conditions. Lack of financing in our country resulted in cutting of aircraft construction industry. Many R&D Bureaus and aircraft plants were closed in nineties. Due to good fortune "Rubin" had remained, but not only to fortune. "Rubin" remained due to its unique production. Non of the aircraft plants in Russia and in CIS duplicate its products.
